A severe and rare form of acne, Acne Fulminans is an explosive inflammatory condition that primarily affects young males. It presents with rapidly worsening, ulcerating nodules and plaques, often accompanied by systemic symptoms like fever, joint pain, and fatigue. Unlike common acne, this condition can cause deep tissue destruction and scarring.

 

 

On the chest, the lesions appear as large, painful, hemorrhagic nodules that quickly erode into open wounds. The affected skin is swollen, red, and covered in crusted blood and pus, making it one of the most extreme dermatological emergencies. Patients often experience excruciating pain, and due to the aggressive nature of the disease, secondary infections are a serious risk.
